Ah,nope. I didn't go. I've actually never been to an anime convention before. I didn't even know we had them upstate. (lol...fail.) The closest thing (to my knowledge) we have are comic conventions,but oh well. :0)
I think that's the only one I know of upstate...and seeing that you lived upstate I couldn't help but wonder...I would not have even known about it if it were not for the fact that I was a guest there >.>;
Not gonna lie, I'd never thought I'd live to see a Black president in my lifetime. This is such a great victory not only for America but for the Black community as well. As a first time voted and a Black female, it felt good to know I put Obama in the White House. I cried when he was announced the winner on Tuesday. I cried again on Wed whenever they played clips of his victory speech and got chills when they showed his picture. I'll probably be crying until he's inaugurated and then I'll cry some more lol.
It's amazing, isn't it? That America has surpassed the racial barrier to a point in such short time to elect a president of colour...It was just a few decades ago when public facilities were segregated.
...The worst is not over yet, I believe. We still don't know what's to come, but looking back at what we're coming from for the last two terms, I doubt we can't go anywhere but up.. XD
