In the Headlines for Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005...

Miss Rose gets stopped by the World's Strangest Policeman.
Makes one wonder how policemen are trained.

Miss Rose attempts "flirting".

...and has no idea what the hell to do.

Reimi left before I did, as I stood in the kitchen with Yosh-chan waiting for my bento to be packed ^^;

So, here is where the weird stuff happens. I took the first train to Machida station as usual. The Machida station kiosk is usually where I would find the azuki bean pastries. I walked by the kiosk, and seeing that I could not resist the azuki pastry, I stopped in my tracks and began to rummage through my large bookbag for my wallet. It took me a few minutes to get the 120 yen out, and I went back to the kiosk to purchase a pastry. After I did so, about to attack my pastry, I noticed that one of the two policemen that stood near the kiosk began to beckon me over. By the looks of his expression, I would have never thought in a million years that he was serious. He had a strange smile on his face.  I somehow thought he was just calling me over to tell me the my fly was unzipped or something, but I was wearing jogging pants.

"I am polissuman." (Quite obviously, I said to myself) "Pleese show your Alien Registration caad."

"Pleese follow me."

I followed the strange policeman into a hidden door in the station, down a few flights of stairs, and into the policebox, where he escorted me to small office and asked me to take a seat. During the descent, he tried to get me to speak Japanese. I refused. This if when he began to further quesiton me about the location of my alien registration is some of the worst english imaginable. He then told me (I THINK) that I should have it with me. He then switched to Japanese on me, but I continued to answer in English. He told me to hold on, and phoned some d00d. He handed me the phone and said, "Here, english". I took the phone,

"Hello?"

"Hello. What seems to be the problem?"

"Um...nothing...I don't know...I honestly don't know what's going on..." "Then why did you come to police box?" "I didn't."

"....O...kay, let me talk back to policeman, please."

I gave him the phone, a bit more Japanese ensued, and the phone was handed back to me. I was asked for my age, and I gave the phone back to teh strange policeman. As they talked, I handed teh policeman my Internation Student ID. So, he hung up the phone. Just then, another busybody policeman headed in, and the strange one began to command something to him in Japanese while pointing to me. The other simply smiled. "He speaks de good english," said the strange one. The other simply shook his head and smiled.

"Hazukashii!" (embarassed/shy) The strange one cried. The other policeman smiled and turned his head. He walked away. What the hell would he be embarassed about?  Then, the strange one reclined himself into the chair and went silent for a bit.

"You are...bery beautiful." The strange one said.

"Uh, Thanks."

"Are you moderu?"

"No, I'm a philosopher." (I said in Japanese)

"Sugoi! So...You like science and eh...mathsematics?"

"...Yes." And he asked a few other irrelevant questions that I dare not repeat here.

"I am tired," he then said in english. Then in Japanese, he commanded, "Say it in Japanese."

I hesitated at the sheer queerness of this whole situation. I then finally answered, "Nemui desu."

Then, he let me go.

WTF.

So, I went off to school and immediately began to search for Kiich. When I did find him, he himself was just arriving at the school. I told him my reason for being late, and he hurried off to proctor the Japanese students' testing session, saying that he'll hear more of it later. I went to library, and talked with Hinyuu-kun until I decided that I was a bit hungry. As we stood out in the hallway, I planned to go to the cafeteria to eat a spare azuki pastry in my bag. Seeing this, Robert deicded to come with us to the cafetria. Cafeteria was closed, so we visited the nearby vending machine and sat on the steps to enjoy our beverages (and I my pastry). Eventually, Robert left us, and we talked about Asian politics for a while. We listened to music on his mp3 player that looks almost exaclty like mine save for the different colour, He asked me if I wanted to go shopping with him today. I honestly didn't mind, but today I had practice with Chanel. I'd plan for later. We headed back to the library and waited till school ended at around 11.

So, back to practicing bellydance for the school festival. This was the best day of practice ever. Kiich made sure to turn the air conditioner on for us, so we weren't able to sweat cannonballs.

So, as usual, we prepared to eat our lunch prior to practice (Remember, this is testing week, so the school day is cut in half and there is no lunch period). I, however, wanted to begin practicing right away, so i took the opportunity to practice a bit of Indian dance while Chanel ate. Kiich and Chanel watched before Kiich left, and I was complimented by Chanel who told me to perform Indian dance at the festival. *tear* She said it was beautiful... *tear*

O_O Sweet.

Even sweeter: Glasses Guy passed by the room and saw me dancing. In jest, he began making those snake-finger movements at me, and I reciprocated and even threw in a few snake arm movements. I flirted in such a manner through the room window until he had to leave. I sat and ate my lunch in glee. "What was that about?!", questioned Chanel.

So, we began practicing and Kiich left us to our business. To my utter delight, about another 45 minutes into our practice, Glasses Guy walked by again, smiling and making the same jests. And again. And again. He passed by several times, and once again with Kiich. After that time, Chanel said, "I think he's walking by just to see you." D00d, I sure hoped so.

"I was just messing with you." said she.

"I like when you mess with me."

So, Chanel left early, leaving me to practice by myself to KCM. Glasses Guy passed by several more times, and jested a bit more. Kiich came in a bit to announce that he'd be leaving to go to Tokyo, so he left me with the key to the room and instructed me to After a while, I had my fill of dancing (well, that's a bit impossible, but I thought it was enough for then.) I moved the chairs back in place, and began to study a little Japanese. I then recalled that it was Wednesday and I had promised Reimi that I'd write an english letter for her every Wednesday and Saturday to help her with english skills. So, I sat and composed a page-long letter of unecessary nonsense for her to translate.

I began to ready myself to head out, and when I did so, I saw Glasses Guy standing by the room with a broom in hand. I waved, and went the opposite direction in embarassment, went to the bathroom for no apparent reason, and fucked time off by looking at the robot displays in the technology classroom. It was getting late...it was about 5-something, and school ended at 11:00 am...I spent quite some time afterschool.

So, I began to leave, and I noticed that he was leaving as well. However, he was walking with a shorter girl, so I thought, "Either that's his relative or friend, or I'm pretty much pwned." Heh.

Then, I thought, "I hang out with Hinyuu-kun all the time, so there's a good chance I'm NOT pwned. yet." Besides, he's always with someone different, be they male or female. (Whoa, that sounded a bit too good to be true - I wouldn't mind seeing him 'with' a male...oh, what horrid thoughts ^^;)

But yesh, I must admit, I did feel a bit of jealousy ^_^;

Anyway, so I went home and phone Akemi-san to tell her about the strange encounter with the policeman. She told me that she hoped my letter would come from the immigration office soon so I could get my visa immediately, because I cannot obtain an Alien Registration ID without it. She talked to my host mother about it, since I can't really do it >_<; Had fun at dinner, as always. Dinnertime is always fun. My host parents always see to it that our lack of knowledge of each other''s language are made into a fun experience. We finished dinner and sat for a while, having fun.

That was when my host mother told me that when Reimi and she went out shopping, they had gotten me "This". Which was a set of cotton pajamas ^^; Happy Happy ^^ It wasn't like I need anymore, but I felt so warm inside, I immediately tried it on and wore it to bed. Unfortunately, it made me feel a bit TOO warm, so I had to take the top off while in bed. ^^; Who cared to know about that, anyway? I'm just writing about a lot of bullshit.

Before bed, however, Yosh-chan translated a small paragraph into english on the computer, explaining that she'd come home late tomorrow. She then handed me 500 yen to buy dinner. Happy, Happy ^^;

I think Kaahe Chede Mohe is a very appropriate song for my lighthearted feelings about the cute Glasses Guy ^^;

In other news, I think this may have been the best day of the week ^^;
